Smyths Toys restocks, price drops and new listings, from one toy up to a whole category. Smyths keeps sold-out toys on the site rather than hiding them, so you hear the moment something comes back.

Ideal settings

  • Waiting on one thing, like a 30th Celebration Elite Trainer Box? Choose Paste a product link. It reads a single page, so a check takes about a second, and it is the quickest way to hear about a restock.
  • Add your postcode to that and you also get click and collect: each of the nearest shops is checked, and the alert names the shop, so you know where to go rather than just that it is back somewhere.
  • To follow a range, choose A category or search and paste the category page, such as Pokémon Trading Card Game. Every product in it is checked, newest first.
  • Choose New listings to hear when Smyths adds something. Paste a category to keep it to that range, or leave the link empty to watch the newest across the whole shop.

Tip: Stock only shows on each product page, so a big category takes longer to check than a single toy. If you are racing a drop, watch the product page itself and add words like elite trainer box to any category monitor to keep it quick.

  • What do you want to watch?
  • Product page link: Copy the address straight from the product page.
  • Category page link: Open a category or brand page on Smyths and copy the link: it has /c/ in it. Leave it empty to search the whole shop by name, or, for new listings, to watch the whole shop.
  • Only products with these words: Every word has to appear in the product name, in any order, so "30th celebration elite trainer box" finds just that one and "pokemon" finds everything Pokemon. Needed when there is no category link for a search. Separate several with commas.
  • Leave out anything containing (advanced): Optional. Skips products whose name contains these words.
  • Most products to watch (advanced): A big category or a broad search can hold hundreds. This caps how many get checked each scan, newest first.
  • Newest products to watch (advanced): How many of the newest listings get checked each scan. Fewer is faster.
  • Also check shops near (Optional): Your postcode. Smyths shows click and collect stock per shop, so you also hear when it is collectable nearby, with the shop named. Leave empty to watch delivery only.
  • Shops to check (advanced): The nearest few shops to that postcode. Each one is checked every scan, so fewer is quicker.
