Two more booster packs and a second promo card stamped with the Pokemon Center logo. Everything else in the box is the same, and The Pokemon Company's own lists show it.
Line up a Pokemon Center Elite Trainer Box vs regular box and only two things change: 11 booster packs instead of 9, and two full-art promo cards instead of one, with one of the two carrying the Pokemon Center logo. The sleeves, Energy, dice, dividers and box are identical. That comes from The Pokemon Company's own contents lists for the 30th Celebration boxes, which both launch on 16 September 2026, read on 13 September 2026.
Both columns below are copied from pokemon.com's product pages: the 30th Celebration Elite Trainer Box and the 30th Celebration Pokemon Center Elite Trainer Box. Differences are in the first two rows.
| Item | Regular Elite Trainer Box | Pokemon Center Elite Trainer Box |
|---|---|---|
| Booster packs | 9 | 11 |
| Promo cards | 1 full-art promo card, "featuring an illustration packed with 30 Nidorina" | 2 full-art foil promo cards featuring Nidorina, one with a Pokemon Center logo |
| Basic Energy cards | 16 foil | 16 foil |
| Card sleeves | 65 | 65 |
| Player's guide | Yes | Yes |
| Damage-counter dice | 6 | 6 |
| Coin-flip die and plastic coin | 1 of each | 1 of each |
| Collector's box and dividers | Box with 6 dividers | Box with 6 dividers |
| Pokemon TCG Live code card | Yes | Yes |
| Where it is sold | Pokemon Center and other shops | Pokemon Center only |
One detail in the promo row is worth a second look. Pokemon.com calls the Pokemon Center promos "full-art foil" and describes the regular box's promo as a "full-art promo card" with 30 Nidorina in the illustration. Those product pages do not say whether the unstamped card is the same one in both boxes, so we are not going to say so either.
Perfect Order, earlier this year, split the same way. When The Pokemon Company showed off the Perfect Order products on 13 March 2026, the standard box had "nine booster packs", a Tyrunt promo, 65 sleeves and 40 Energy cards. The Pokemon Center box had 11 packs, "two more than usual", and "two full-art promo cards featuring Tyrunt, including one that's emblazoned with the Pokémon Center logo". Same two differences. The Energy count does change from set to set (40 there, 16 foil for 30th Celebration), but on both of these sets the two boxes carried the same count.
Go back further and it has not always been two packs and a stamp. Bulbapedia's Elite Trainer Box page records the history, which is compiled by fans rather than published by The Pokemon Company, so treat the older rows as a reference.
| Era | Regular box | Pokemon Center box |
|---|---|---|
| Chilling Reign, the first Pokemon Center box | 8 | 8, "due to an error" |
| Main sets from Evolving Skies to Silver Tempest | 8 | 10 |
| Scarlet & Violet onwards | 9 | 11, plus a second, Pokemon Center-stamped promo |
So the very first Pokemon Center Elite Trainer Box, with Chilling Reign, came out with the same number of packs as the ordinary one. The stamped second promo only arrived with Scarlet & Violet. Bulbapedia also lists two Pokemon Center boxes, Fusion Strike and Silver Tempest, that came with an extra set of 65 sleeves.
Price it as two packs plus a stamped card. The regular 30th Celebration box has a distributor RRP of £49.99 at Asmodee, and Asmodee prices a single booster pack from recent sets at £4.29, so the two extra packs are £8.58 of cards at RRP. Our Elite Trainer Box RRP guide has the working. We have no UK price for the Pokemon Center version to put next to that: Asmodee does not distribute it, and we could not load the Pokemon Center UK listing on 13 September 2026, so we would rather print no number than a guess. Nor are the extra packs any luckier. Pokemon's support site says the packs in an Elite Trainer Box "are the same packs that can be purchased individually and do not contain a special rate of cards".
If the Pokemon Center charges less than £8.58 more than the regular box's RRP, the packs alone cover the difference and the stamped promo costs you nothing. If it charges more, you are paying for the stamp. That promo is the one thing in the box no other shop can sell you, and it is why collectors want this box.
The catch is getting one. Pokemon Center is the only seller, the exclusive box usually sells out the day its preorder opens, and the 30th Celebration version was capped at 2 per customer. The regular box is on sale at every shop that stocks the TCG, so a sell-out at one shop is not a sell-out everywhere.
Decide whether the stamp matters to you
If you want the packs to open, the regular box at £49.99 RRP is the simpler buy and far easier to find. If you collect the stamped promos, only the Pokemon Center box has one.
Know when the Pokemon Center preorder opens
The exclusive goes early and it goes fast. Our Pokemon Center Elite Trainer Box dates page tracks when each one opens.
Read the limit on the product page
Limits are set per product. The 30th Celebration Pokemon Center box was 2 per customer, and a preorder in the same basket as in-stock items will not go through.
Watch several shops for the regular box
Because the regular box is sold everywhere, stock comes back at different shops at different times. A Pokemon restock tracker that covers UK shops catches the one that has it.
Check the RRP before you pay a premium
£49.99 is the distributor RRP for the regular box. Anything well above that is the shop's own mark-up, and a restock at RRP somewhere else is usually a better deal.
11 on current sets, against 9 in the regular box. The Pokemon Company describes it as "two more than usual" on both the Perfect Order and 30th Celebration boxes. Bulbapedia records 10 for the Pokemon Center boxes from Evolving Skies to Silver Tempest.
A Pokemon Center ETB has two extra booster packs and a second full-art promo card with the Pokemon Center logo on it. On The Pokemon Company's lists the sleeves, Energy, dice, coin, dividers, player's guide and code card are the same, and the Pokemon Center box is only sold by the Pokemon Center.
Not new from a shop. The Pokemon Company says the 30th Celebration Pokemon Center box is available "from the Pokémon Center", while the regular box is sold "at the Pokémon Center and where Pokémon TCG products are sold". Any other seller is reselling one bought from the Pokemon Center.
No. The Pokemon Company's support site says Elite Trainer Box packs "are the same packs that can be purchased individually and do not contain a special rate of cards". You get more of the same packs, not better ones.
Both launch on 16 September 2026, according to their pokemon.com product pages. The Pokemon Center version is sold only through the Pokemon Center.
