How a Magic Madhouse Pokemon Drop Works: Invites and the App

Magic Madhouse sells most new Pokemon releases through invite emails, not an open checkout. Here is who gets picked, when the email lands, and what is left for everyone else.

A Magic Madhouse Pokemon drop works by invitation. The Enfield shop sells most new Pokemon TCG releases through what it calls an "invite to purchase" scheme: selected customers get an email with a private link that lets them buy one named product within a set window, usually about five days. To be picked you need an account, a mailing list sign-up, and at least one order from its Pokemon category in the last 36 months. For main sets the emails go out 2 to 10 days before release, so if nothing has arrived by release day, you weren't picked that time.

  • You need an account, a mailing list sign-up and one Pokemon TCG order in the last 36 months. Singles count. Magic cards and accessories don't.
  • Invites for main sets land 2 to 10 days before release. For extras such as tins there's no set timing, and the email can come after release.
  • If you're picked, the product is guaranteed to you for about five days. Miss the window and it's gone.
  • If you're new or you missed out, the shop says there's a second chance in its mobile app for 30th Celebration products.
  • On release day for a main set, Magic Madhouse runs general sale drops of booster packs that anyone can buy.

Who gets a Magic Madhouse Pokemon drop email?

Existing Pokemon customers who have signed up for emails. The Pokemon Drop FAQ, last reviewed by the shop on 14 September 2026, sets three conditions: an account on the website, a mailing list sign-up, and being an "existing/recent customer" in the Pokemon TCG category. It defines an existing customer as someone who has placed one order in a rolling 36 months.

Am I eligible for a Magic Madhouse Pokemon drop? From the shop's Pokemon Drop FAQ, read 27 September 2026
Your situationWhat the FAQ says
No order from Magic Madhouse in the last 3 yearsNot eligible. An existing customer has placed 1 order in the last 36 months
You only buy single cards, not sealed productEligible. Singles orders count
You buy accessories or other card games, but not PokemonNot counted. Eligibility is based on Pokemon TCG orders
No account, or not on the mailing listNot eligible. The shop can't email you or tie the invite to an account
Already picked for this product onceNot eligible for the same product again

The shop is open about why it works this way. Its FAQ says the stock it gets is "no where near the size of our Pokémon community", so it wants product going to people who have supported both the hobby and the shop. If you're starting from nothing and want a Magic Madhouse invite, the quickest way to become eligible is to buy something small from the Pokemon category, such as a single card, and make sure you're on the mailing list. The newsletter box sits at the bottom of every page. Signing up doesn't guarantee an invite, but without it the shop can't send you one.

When do Magic Madhouse drop emails go out?

For main sets and special sets, on average 2 to 10 days before the product's release date. The FAQ is blunt about what silence means: if you haven't had an email by then, you haven't been selected. Ancillary releases, which the shop gives tins as an example of, have no set timeframe, and their emails can come before or after release.

Some drops start with a sign-up round first. On 23 September 2026 Magic Madhouse posted on X that emails were going out asking customers to register interest in the 30th Celebration Wave 2 products: the Booster Bundle, the Tech Sticker Collection and 2-Pack Blister bundle, and the Set of 2 Mini Tins (Day and Night). Registration closed at the end of Saturday 26 September, and the post said successful customers would hear no later than 29 September. There was also a button to register for all the products at once.

How long do you have to buy once you're picked?

Around five days, though the FAQ tells you to read each email for the exact deadline. Inside that window the product is held for you, so it isn't first come, first served. Outside it, you can't buy. The shop notes this is a change from earlier drops and that it was made after customer feedback.

  1. Log in to your Magic Madhouse account first

Use the account with the same email address the invite was sent to. The link only works for that address.

  2. Click the link in the email

It opens the page where you can buy the product you were picked for.

  3. If the page won't open, try a private window

The FAQ puts most failures down to the browser cache. It suggests logging in from an incognito window or another browser, and turning off any VPN.

  4. Still stuck? Contact the shop before the deadline passes

The FAQ says that if a technical problem stops you buying in time, it will always honour the purchase.

Can you get picked for more than one product?

Not in the same wave. The FAQ says you can't be selected for several products releasing in the same wave, though a product can come back in a later wave, which gives you another go at it. Once you've been picked for a product, you can't be picked for that product again.

What if you're not a customer, or you missed out?

For the 30th Celebration products, the FAQ says there will be a second chance through the Magic Madhouse mobile app, where people who aren't existing customers, or who weren't picked, can sign up for a chance to buy. The app is free on the App Store and Google Play, and its listing promises push notifications about new drops. Beyond that the FAQ gives no detail of how the app round works, so it's worth installing before a release rather than on the day.

Magic Madhouse isn't the only UK shop that has stopped letting the fastest checkout win. Chaos Cards runs product drops as draws with a card hold, and Amazon sells some sets through a Request invitation button. Each one has its own rules, so being on one list doesn't help with another.

What can you buy from Magic Madhouse without an invite?

Booster packs on release day, for a start. The FAQ says that on main set release days the shop holds general sale drops of booster packs, open to everyone. Singles from new sets are listed shortly after release, and the shop says it carries a large selection of sealed product in several languages.

Invite products still have a public page, and it tells you where things stand. On 27 September 2026 the 30th Celebration Elite Trainer Box page read Out of stock with a Notify Me When Available button and a maximum order of 1. Nothing in the FAQ says leftover invite stock goes on open sale. If it ever did, though, that page is where it would show.

How do you get an alert when Magic Madhouse has Pokemon in stock?

A monitor can't see the invite email, which lands in your inbox. What it can watch is the shop. Magic Madhouse is built on BigCommerce, and StockWatch has a BigCommerce monitor for it on the Standard and Power User plans. It reads the shop's own product data, so it sees new listings and stock changes as they happen.

  1. Create a BigCommerce monitor and paste magicmadhouse.co.uk

Choose BigCommerce as the monitor type.

  2. For release days, watch the whole shop scoped to the Pokemon sealed category

Pick Whole shop and set the category page to /pokemon/pokemon-sealed-product. The shop is too big to read whole, so a category or a search term is required. Add the set's name as a keyword so only that set's products alert.

  3. Exclude the languages you don't want

The shop sells sealed product in several languages. Adding Japanese, Chinese or Korean as exclude keywords keeps the alerts to English product.

  4. For one product, use A single product

Paste the product page, such as an Elite Trainer Box that reads Out of stock, and you get a restock alert if it comes back into stock.

The first setup gives you a new product alert when a set's packs are listed and a restock alert when stock appears, which is the release-day general sale the FAQ describes. The second covers one box.
